Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT), a Techno India Group educational institution, under the Maulana Abul kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, India, started its noble journey of building the human resources in the year of 1999. Dedicated high quality faculty members supported by the efficient management system of Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT), have been always the instrumental to encourage the students to develop good engineering inculcation, productive thinking and learn course content. Policy of the management focused around the performance of the students has helped the institution to reach the milestones. Proactive active Training & Placement Department of SIT, supported by the top management of Techno India Group, has always helped the students to secure the jobs in the leading organizations.

Civil Engineering branch has been introduced in SIT in the year of 2011with an intake capacity 60. Since the very inception, this Department has been successfully maintaining excellent academic records. Students of Civil Engineering have been successful in various competitive examinations and working in various prestigious companies in India and abroad. The mentor - mentee relationship in Civil Engineering Department completes the ecosystem for the innovation, creation and transfer of knowledge system.  Everything that has been achieved could not be done without the dedicated efforts of the mentors and active participation of the students. Achievement of the Civil Engineering Department is the result of the collective efforts of the active management system, dedicated effort of the faculty members and hard work of the students.  The Department of Civil Engineering has excellent academic records of students.
