Summary of the program:
The meeting was highly interactive, and total of 24 parents (30 people) came. The following points were discussed. Parents were given feedback on their wards’ performances in CA1, CA2 and CA3 attendance status in the 1st semester up to January 2026. It was a good interaction between the mentors and the parents for the development of their wards where they discussed both the strengths and areas of improvement. The progress report for the internal exam (CA3), overall attendance status in the 1st semester was shown to the parents and their suggestions were noted. Parents appreciated our interaction about the activity of MAR and MOOCS for the better education and socialization. Parents are 
requested to communicate with respective mentor’s time to time basis for collecting information regarding their wards. Suggestions noted: The suggestions given by the parents are as follows: Parents should communicate regularly through mentors about the various events that the college organizes. Parents appreciated the efforts by the department in conducting the PTM. Parents express that professional education needs discipline, and they were ready to cooperate in any disciplinary action against their wards especially attendance in the class, training, etc. provided they are aware of the different activities on time to-time basis. These are essential for their ward’s progress and welfare.

The Parent Teacher Meeting started with welcome address by the respective HODs of colleges under code 119 of Siliguri Institute of Technology. It was great interaction between the teachers and the parents for the development of their children. The following points were discussed in the said meeting:

Parents became aware of the institute’s rules and regulations, methodologies of teaching & learning for the overall welfare of students. Parents were given feedback on their ward’s performance and they were also encouraged to appreciate student’s participation in all academic activities. Parents expressed their happiness for having their ward studying in our esteemed institute. They also expressed their gratitude regarding the care taken by the institute for the growth of their wards. Parents gave a very good feedback for the program and different academic aspects. Meeting concluded with vote of thanks and refreshment.

Glimpses of Parent Teacher Meeting
Siliguri Institute of Technology organized a Parent Teachers Meeting (PTM) for Odd Semester 2022-23 for the students of CSE, ECE, EE, CE, IT, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, BBA-HM, BHHA, HMCT departments between November 7th and 8th , 2022 and November 17th and 18th, 2022.
The meeting was held in order to discuss the performance of students with their parents. One to one interaction took place between parents/guardians and mentors where subject wise attendance, internal marks and class performance of the students were discussed individually. Parents were also given an overview of the curriculum.
It was a great interaction between the teacher and the parents for the development of their children where they discussed both the strengths and areas of improvements. Parents expressed their happiness for having their ward studying in our esteemed institute and getting an opportunity to provide feedback for improvement of the system. They gave a very positive feedback regarding the activities and facilities provided by the college.
