Anti-Ragging Day & Anti-Ragging Week Observation
Observation of Anti-Ragging Day, Aug 12 and Anti-Ragging Week, Aug 12 to Aug 18
SILIGURI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY observed Anti-Ragging Day as well as Anti-Ragging Week with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty and staff. It was observed in the way as mandated by UGC, AICTE.
An orientation session on Anti-Ragging Awareness was organised on 12th Aug, 2024. As a part of National Anti-Ragging Day, students were shown short films and documentaries and it was followed by insightful speech from the Principal, SIT. A rally with placards having Anti-Ragging slogans was organised on 13th Aug 2024 in the SIT campus. On 14th Aug 2024, a poster making competition and exhibition on the Anti-Ragging theme was organised inside the campus.
Students participated voluntarily in all the awareness campaigns with vigour and whole hearted enthusiasm. The entire program was organised by the Anti-Ragging Committee and Squad of SIT.
