Graduates of the B.Tech. in Electronics and Computer Science Engineering will:

At the time of graduation, students will be able to:

  • PSO1: Design and develop intelligent electronic systems by integrating analog and digital electronics, embedded systems, microprocessors, IoT, and communication technologies.
  • PSO2: Apply programming, algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, databases, and software engineering principles to develop efficient computing solutions.
  • PSO3: Utilize modern hardware and software tools, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, VLSI, Semiconductor Technology, and cloud-based platforms to solve interdisciplinary engineering problems and support innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.
Library

The Department Library serves as an important learning resource alongside the central library. It has a collection of 401 books and 52 CDs, supporting the teaching, learning, and research needs of faculty and students. In addition to syllabus-based reference books, the library provides study materials for competitive exams such as GATE, and Civil Services, helping students enhance their academic knowledge and career preparation.

Academic activities, achievements and events

The Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) is a rapidly emerging interdisciplinary branch that integrates the core concepts of Electronics Engineering with modern Computer Science Technologies. The department has already established a strong academic foundation through a balanced curriculum comprising programming, embedded systems, digital electronics, artificial intelligence, IoT, and emerging technologies.

The department emphasizes:

Notable Academic Achievement:

Mr. Lalit Kumar Sah, a student of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) at Siliguri Institute of Technology, secured 3rd position in the Robotics Competition held on 12th February, 2026, organized by the Institute’s Tech-Management Fest Committee. His outstanding performance and exceptional skill in controlling the robot have brought great pride to the institution.
