Orientation Program 2024-2025
In the heart of Siliguri Institute of Technology, a new chapter began as we welcomed our B.Tech freshers with open arms and guiding lights on 16.08.2024. Under the blessings of Shri Satyam Roy Chowdhury, Managing Director of Techno India Group, and the visionary leadership of Group CEO Dr. Sanku Bose, Vice President Mr. Bhaskar Roy, Principal Dr. Mithun Chakraborty, and Administrator Mr. Joydeep Guha, "Diksharambh 2024" unfolded as a celebration of possibilities, aspirations, and hope.
The program commenced with the auspicious lighting of the diya, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the dawn of knowledge. The warm glow of the flames illuminated the path ahead for our students, marking the beginning of their academic journey with purity and purpose.

The Orientation Programme for the B.Tech (2023-2027) Batch was held on 19th August 2023 at A.J.C Bose Conference Hall where the Honourable Principal Prof Dr Mithun Chakraborty addressed the august gathering of the newly admitted students. Dr.Manas Saha, the respected Academic Coordinator of college code 119 and the Head of the Departments of DESH , CSE, AIML, IT ECE EE , CE oriented the students on the prospects of Engineering including the curricular, the co curricular and the extracurricular studies. Dr. Debasis Dey, Professor of Computer Science of Engineering, MAKAUT, the guest of honour with his scintillating presentation mesmerized the audience .Dr Dey emphasised on the holistic development of the student to a successful Engineer who would spread his /her vision and mission across the globe. It was a successful programme which was enthusiastically participated by the faulty and the staff members of the students of the department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities.
Orientation Program 2022-2023
Siliguri Institute of Technology conducted an Orientation program for B.Tech First semester students on 29.09.2022 and 30.09.2022. As a part of the Academic Activity various necessary information and introduction was given through the Orientation Program from 11.00 am-2.00 pm.
153 students have participated in the program. Students have got an idea about Institutional excellence , Departmental activities , Club activity , cultural activities. and different cell like T&P, NSS , Examinations, Games and Sports, Library. Through the program offered B.Tech 1 st year students have been informed about educational opportunities and responsibilities in and outside of the classroom.
